Starting a new event is very challenging. Having an open consignment event is even among the most challenging of all – BECAUSE you rely heavily on those that say they are committing to come and work with those that actually show up. How was the event – SUCCESSFUL! Will there be changes – YES! Will we continue to grow the event – Definitely!!! Just to answer some questions that has been asked repeatedly.
How many showed up?
Goats – 3 bucks, 13 does, 21 wethers
How was the quality?
Bucks – all three very good – they all help the industry.
Does – Donors – yes, brood doe additions – NO DOUBT, show doe prospects – several that will hunt banners.
Wethers – Quality was way good for the numbers – many of these will find premium sale spots in their future.
How many buyers?
What was the highs and average?
High – over 10K
Very few were not sold!
Average for the sale – somewhere between $1300 and $1500
We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of those that consigned to the First Annual Banners and Backdrops Show and Sale. A Big Thanks to Kevin Mock for sorting the goats and to C Jason Spence for Auctioneering the Sale. Also Thank You to the buyers, bidders, spectators, parents, friends and family, kids and animals for a great event.
We will work diligently to follow up on the success of those purchased from this sale.
