I know I've seen it on here before and with winter fast approaching I was wondering if someone could refresh my memory on what is the best kind of shelter to build for these goats.  I thought I remembered something along the lines of Hot Boxes and I was just sure that Kelln put on here how to make them.  I may be wrong, but anything anybody is willing to share will help.

Thanks!
Kelln

A hot box is a 4'x4'x4' enclosed area for 1 goat.  I build ours out of 1" square tubing and then screw 1/2 thick plywood to this frame.  This builds a 4x4x8 box that is divided in two.  Half of this box is in one pen, the other half in an adjoining pen.
I use one sheet of plywood for each side and one for the roof.  Then I split one sheet in half (4'x4') for each end.  I then split another sheet to divide the inside of the box in half.  Make a 2' opening into each half of the box.  Then hang heavy rubber or baler belting to fit the doors.  This keeps the breeze off of them.
Our hotboxes are inside sheds.  This gives the goat an enclosed area to keep warm.
